Today, I’m sharing this Makowiec, otherwise known as Polish Poppy Seed Roll, that I made over the weekend.
This is typically made for holidays like Christmas and Easter, but I say if you’ve got the poppy seeds then why not make it year round? The sweet poppy seed filling (which includes local honey from Carlisle Honey) is encased in a yeast dough and I’ve topped it with a simple confectioner’s sugar glaze.
Who wants a slice?
